Gatewen Hall Country House

While the rural views of Gatewen Hall can be appreciated from the ground, they are even more spectacular from the air. Since 2005, the current owner, Chris Brown, has flown helicopters to and from Gatewen Hall, landing on the large lawn space to the rear of the house. A far cry from the original owners use of horses to soak up the views, this contemporary feature to Gatewen Hall brings it into the 21st century and offers a new way to appreciate the house’s elegance.

Not just a treat for friends and family, Christopher Brown has also combined his flying skills with photography. He’s taken many aerial shots of Gatewen Hall and the surrounding area over the course of 10 years, vividly capturing the changes that have been made to both the property and the surrounding area. Many of the photographs have been published in aviation magazines articles and Christopher Brown has even appeared flying an R44 on a front cover shot.

Please note that Gatewen Hall is a private landing site and that landing is strictly by invitation. Visitors must obtain approval in advance of arrival.
